Sliding barn door hardware – Installation of a sliding door position requires use of a car (a railway system or door leading from side to side moves) and several rollers that slide along this track. You will need at least two and perhaps three or more to complete work. Together, they have to be strong enough to lift and keep barn doors for several minutes.
Measure height of sliding barn door hardware, including both rollers, and note exact measure. Now, apply this measure in its opening barn door. If it is 10 feet 3 inches, measured 10 feet and 3 inches from bottom of door opening of barn, and make dark marks with a marker. Align center of track cart with these signals over opening of barn door, and signs in mounting holes of tramlines. There must be a mounting hole at least every two meters. Otherwise, additional mounting holes in track with a metal tip.
Ask an assistant to track car in first position, then connect track to farm, with a drill or a power controller. Use hardware supplied with track, or 1/4 “or 7/16” bolts that are long enough to go right through walls of barn. Screw tracks in place in each mounting hole like this. Place trail along floor of barn. Roll out dough with a level, and then check alignment of tracks, using a plumb bob (a weight on end of a metal chain with tip). Hold chain lead in middle of road car, and let weight hang just above ground. Field road so it is just below plumb line. (In this way two tracks are perfectly aligned.)
Lift up sliding barn door hardware in an upright position and rest it against barn, just over one end of trolley track. Attention, lift and slide rollers one at a time, and both on track and top track. Stable door must simply slide along track until it clicks into place. Tape both ends of tramlines by drilling a hole in track (if not already in place) and guidance of a great 1/4 “screw into this hole. You can insert bolt through a block 1 “x 1” wood to create a strong cap. Alternatively, use sliding door stopper included in shopping cart.Tags: outdoor sliding door hardware, barn door hardware installation, barn door track splice, how to install sliding barn door, sliding barn door hardware
